So, I finally did it: After three years of struggling with my two useless, unsharp, sub-par lenses, I bought a good fixed 50mm prime for my 350D:


a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II

and I couldnt be happier! The sharpness is fantastic, I can shoot in almost any situation using existing light and the bokeh produced at low apertures looks terrific.
